Due to spacious storage areas at the pier within outreach of the crane and well equipped warehouses, Elbehafen Brunsbüttel offers excellent conditions for handling general and project cargo of all kinds. Amongst others we handle and store containers, wind power stations, heavy cargo, big bags, pallets, prefabricated goods, aluminum ingots and barrels in the Elbehafen. Brunsbüttel Ports GmbH is your competent service provider for the handling of all sorts of bulk goods.The ports at Brunsbüttel handle millions of tons of dry bulk goods yearly, for example copper ore concentrate, coal, building materials, urea and many other commodities in mostly covered systems.
Within the Kiel-Canal Brunsbüttel Ports GmbH operates the Oilport and the port of Ostermoor where mainly liquid goods are being handled. There is a total of 10 jetties in both ports to handle goods like

In addition there are crude oil and LPG-gas being handled in the Elbehafen Brunsbüttel.
LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) is establishing itself step by step as an alternative and low-emission fuel in shipping. The Elbehafen Brunsbüttel has proven to be a suitable LNG bunker location on several occasions and it is expected that the number of bunker operations will increase.
The bunkering of LNG in the truck-to-ship procedure has been integrated in the Hafenbenutzungsordnung of Brunsbüttel Ports GmbH in November 2018. This eliminates the previously required individual permits and LNG bunkering is a permit-free operation in the Elbehafen. This significantly simplifies LNG bunkering operations, even compared to other port locations, and considerably speeds up administrative procedures.

Handling, storage and transportation of wind power stations are a basic element within our product range. For
years now Brunsbüttel Ports GmbH is able to increase the turnover-figures of this segment year by year.
Amongst others 5MW offshore wind power stations are stored temporarily and then transhipped onto sea vessels
and barges at Brunsbüttel.
We offer individual solutions for all specific Sea Port demands with integrated one-stop service. Due to highly productive handling facilities and experienced staff, all ways of transport such as water, rail and road, are served efficiently at all times.

The terminal plays a highly important role in the lower Elbe region as turntable for trimodal container traffic being a main part within the transport chain and for container distribution.
